Sudan: FVP Directs Swift Action to Facilitate Microfinance
Khartoum: First Vice President Ali Osman Mohammed Taha issued strict directives to banks to facilitate micro-financing procedures for all society categories.
He said these directives are meant to secure funding for whoever desires to acquire means of legitimate income in these categories explaining that the theory of micro financing has changed to accommodate the needs of the entire society and to prevent circulating capital among the rich only, instead it must be available for all those who are in possession of the will to increase production, productivity, and national income. He said the time has passed when banks were distant from the public and enhancing their living circumstances, servicing only the needs of people with large capital.
Addressing the popular rally at Kassab in Sinnar State in the wake of inauguration of a number of development projects including Kassab water well, general medicine hospital, Sinnar Wad Albbass road, and Sinnar bridge, he said securing financing for development is at the heart of the recent economic procedures of the government, calling for making financing available through national banks. He added that inaugurating Kassab Agricultural Compound is one of the models upon which the government’s policy on agricultural development is based to increase production to satisfy the local market and maximize exports.
He commended the contributions of local women in increasing productivity adding that they have outdone their male counterparts in the field of education and in repaying the loans they borrowed from financing banks.
Taha said the government has prepared Saif Alizza (Dignity Sword) program to deter whoever breaches our borders, pointing out he witnessed the graduation of the deterrence brigade in Sinnar State, a step within the Saif Alizza program to protect our homeland and sovereignty.
Governor of Sinnar State on his part confirmed that the state is ready to increase production and productivity to repay debt through increasing production rates, affirming that the state is going to be one of the productive states in the field of agriculture.
