Ghana’s premier microfinance company, Christian Community Microfinance Limited (CCML), has done Ghana proud at the 2015 Business Initiative Direction (BID) convention in Geneva, Switzerland, by winning the Century International Quality ERA Awards. CCML thereby joins BID’s prestigious group of award winners.
The Century International Quality ERA Awardsrecognizes businesses’ commitment to Quality, Leadership, Technology and Innovation. CCML was presented with a CQE Gold Category awardfor its strong commitment to quality and excellence.CCML’s General Manager, Corporate Affairs and head of delegation, Mary Mariamah Aduke Armah, received the award on behalf of CCML at the award ceremony which took place at the Inter Continental Geneva Convention Hall, Switzerland.
In an interview, Mrs. Armah related that CCML believes in an uncommon life beyond finance, thus does not only provide clients with financial stability but adds value to their lives with by having an effective social performance monitoring system in place and advocating community-based CSR projects, capacity building projects and technological innovations into business and customer lifestyles. CCML makes quality a core focus for continuous improvement of management to maintain leadership in this sector and the community.
At the event, the President of BID, Jose E. Prieto, addressed companies and organization from the 54 countries in attendance. According to the President, the award recipients are icons of leadership, technology and innovations, thus should make them models for others in their sector to look up to. He also added that in the past years the award recipients focused on assets of their companies and organizations, however he was glad to notice that this year’s recipients projected the quality and values they add to lives.
CCML started in 1979 as the Ecumenical Church Loan Fund (ECLOF) by ECLOF International and the Christian Council of Ghana (CCG) with the aim of helping the organized life of the Church. After a series of transition as an institution, it became Christian Community Microfinance Limited (CCML) still wholly owned by the Christian Council of Ghana.
Licensed by the Bank of Ghana (BoG) as a deposit taking microfinance institution in 2012, CCML has 36 years of experience in providing uncommon business services and solutions, specialising inthe areas of credit, savings, investments and business development.It has advocated strong commitment to technology, quality, excellence and values in its operation and business solutions.
