India: SKS Microfinance secures 248 jobs for displaced employees

MUMBAI: SKS Microfinance on Monday announced that it has secured employment for 248 displaced employees following its collaboration with leading corporates and recruitment consultancies. An additional 255 candidates have been shortlisted for various positions.
Leading organizations including Coromandel Fertilizers, Genius Consultants, Reliance Life Insurance Company, Smaat Aqua Technologies, Tikona Digital Networks, TeamLease Services and TMI Networks have participated in SKS Microfinance’s job fairs.
The job fairs have been organized in Hyderabad and Vijayawada following the success of pilot projects in the two places earlier in the month. In all, 715 ex employees of SKS Microfinance registered for the job fairs. The candidates underwent training and reorientation programmes at SKS Microfinance.
“The resounding success of the job fairs is on account of the tireless efforts made by our teams in reaching out to leading corporates in this difficult market where jobs have been drying up,” said Mr Srinivas Reddy Vudumula, Senior Executive Vice President, SKS Microfinance.
“The initiative is driven by SKS’ unique philosophy of dovetailing social good into business goals as also fostering life-long relationships built on the bedrock of trust, transparency and mutual benefit. We thank all the organizations which have participated in the job fairs.”
